Jonah Hwang pursues artistry not only as an aspiring fashion model, but a lover of solo piano performance. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Jonah Hwang began piano lessons at the age of 4. He first entered the Georgia Academy of Music and transferred to the International School of Music in Bethesda, Maryland at age 7 when moving out of Atlanta. From 2009 to 2020, he studied with his teacher Karine Muradyan. In March 2019, he won First Prize in Instrumental Music and $500 at the Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt Competition. A year later, in 2020, he applied for and was accepted into the University of Miami Piano Performance program, where he met his teacher, Tian Ying, as well as other piano teacher associates. "I first got into piano because I became so in love with the sound and wanted to learn many pieces at the age of 4. Since then I have always enjoyed playing the piano, but I didn't actually take it seriously until about 14 or 15 years old. Now I wish to dedicate my life to my artistic passions, with my musical studies assured to be one of them." He has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
